Vocalist and advocate for “LEAP: Literacy Enhancement, Artistry and Performance”
Victoria Mozitis, a 22-year-old resident of Northfield, NJ, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rider University in 2023, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, and a minor in Arts and Entertainment Industries Management. She is a Baccalaureate Honors Program Scholar, Rider University Presidential Scholarship Recipient, and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.
Victoria’s Community Service Initiative is entitled, “LEAP: Literacy Enhancement, Artistry and Performance”. Literacy is a vital skill needed to communicate effectively, and is imperative to combat poverty, unemployment and more. It is Victoria’s mission to improve literacy worldwide through her partnership with The African Library Project, her school program, and by advocating for arts education. By bringing stories from the page to the stage, we are taking one giant LEAP towards sculpting an intellectual, creative, and united future.
During the 2023 Miss New Jersey Competition, Victoria had the honor of receiving the Overall Talent Preliminary Scholarship for her musical theatre vocal performance. Victoria’s professional musical theatre career began at the age of 13 performing in Mary Poppins at The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Since then, she has performed the National Anthem at the 2015 US Open Tennis Championship, as Beth in Little Women at The Eagle Theatre, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, in numerous productions at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman, and soon on The Miss America stage!
Throughout her time with Miss America, Victoria has earned a total of $22,450 in scholarships.
When not performing, you can find Victoria spending time with family, knitting a new sweater, creating recipes, training for a 5k, or hanging out with her cat, Holly Jolly.
